Management Accountant

My client is looking for a Management Accountant. 
 Key Objectives:

- To provide weekly and monthly profit and loss reports with detailed variance and trend analysis to support the submission for review by the financial controller. 
- To investigate variances as they arise and review procedures to ensure control checks are adhered to and remain relevant. Any departure from procedure to be relayed to the financial controller at the earliest opportunity. 
- To maintain the budget and forecasting mechanisms, providing front line support to the financial controller during the budget process. 
- To develop and maintain statistical reports for the company as directed by the financial controller. 
- To maintain the fixed asset register and carry out regular audit of assets held by the company. 
- To become an advanced user of the company's accounting packages providing front line support to other users within the company. 
- To develop a proficient knowledge of the KBS system, to enable financial analysis to take place. 
- To reconcile sales, purchases and stock between the accounting system and KBS on a weekly basis. 
- To create a good working relationship with all other departments within the company. 
- Ensure all liabilities of the company are recorded 
- Process electronic payments via the companies bank system 
- Ensure the bank system static information is current and correct 
- To supervise the payroll process 
- To deputise for the financial controller in his absence  
 General Objectives: 
 
- The jobholder will observe the company's food safety policy at all times. 
- The jobholder will observe the company's health and safety policy at all times. 
- The jobholder will observe the departments  clear desk policy and ensure all documents are filed and locked out of hours 
- The jobholder will ensure that reports and documentation are submitted in a timely manner observing all deadlines.  
- The jobholder will provide assistance to the financial controller as directed.
