Financial/Management Accountant

Role: Divisional Management Accountant 
 Reporting To: Financial Controller 
- To prepare analyse monthly Management account and statutory accounts. 
- To prepare detailed year end files including tax documentation. 
- To provide accurate, timely, relevant information to facilitate planning and performance of the organisation. e.g. budgeting/forecasts 
- The safeguarding of the companies assets, and ensure internal controls are maintained and adhered to: to carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues. 
- Review monitor and maintain financial policies and management information systems. 
- Liaise with management and colleagues on all aspects of finance. 
- Analyse the performance of a business and advise on how to pre-empt problems, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value. 
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, to the agreed timescale, for designated operations. 
- Liaise with divisional directors and managers to provide relevant, detailed variance analysis to both budget and prior year figures 
- To reconcile all balance sheet accounts in accordance with the agreed timetable. 
- Asses and prepare financial information on proposed new ventures to assist in the decision making process. 
- Assist in preparation of designated companies annual budgets in order to establish control of costs and forecast revenues.  
- Preparing quarterly V.A.T returns for designated companies in accordance with customs and excise legislation. 
- Prepare annual audit file for designated companies in line with legal and accounting procedures. 
- Prepare Annual Statutory Accounts. 
- Offering professional judgment on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance;  
- Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers;  
- Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems to ensure accuracy of financial data. 
- Review & Assist with commercial business Quotations (Including Appraising Capital Projects) 
- Any other duties where necessary for business continuity  
- Maintain Costing Models 
- Assist in the Budgeting & cash flow Process
