Management Accountant

My client is looking for a Management Accountant that will provide support to the Finance Director for all aspects of Financial and Cost Accounting for the Interior Structures business.
  
 Duties

- Co-ordinates the activities of general accounting, cost accounting and financial accounting for the Interior Structures business 
- Co-ordinate month end close process for general, cost and financial accounting functions 
- Assist with preparation of month end financial reporting package and ancillary information -  inc. metrics reporting, Hyperion supplementary information etc. 
- Provide analysis of cash flow, balance sheet, Gross margin and production variances and Opex variances as required 
- Co-ordination of CER process 
- Hyperion Controller for Structures business 
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, plans and budgets.  
- Maintenance of Standard Costing system on JDE to ensure accurate month end reporting and performance measurement. 
- Perform work order variance analysis on a daily basis with root cause and corrective actions. 
- Co-ordinate monthly inventory forecasting process 
- Administer cycle count activity, including designation of count priorities, selection of items to be counted, recount decisions, research of discrepancies, and reporting on root causes and progress toward making improvements for greater quantity and physical accuracy. 
- Co-ordination of Year End Inventory cost roll in conjunction with Purchasing department. Ensure that material costs and work centre rates are accurate and up to date.   Education, Experience & Qualifications 
 
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with a minimum of 4-5 years post-qualification experience working in a commercial environment, preferably with manufacturing experience in a medium-sized business. 
- The candidate will be able to show an understanding of product costing, stock analysis and gross margin reporting to a product level as well as experience of preparing monthly accounts to trial balance and the understanding and analysis of issues relating to a month end financial reporting process to a tight reporting schedule.   Computer Skills 
 
- Microsoft Office ( Excel,Word, Powerpoint, Access), Hyperion and JD Edwards (or a similar large ERP system)
